Paddle Board Yoga- Yoga on the Water!

There’s freedom in the float 

ALL LEVELS! No experience necessary paddle boarding or yoga! 

Step outside and supercharge your balance, strength, & focus. Reduce stress with a floating flow. Connect and breathe. Strengthen and smile. 

Classes are taught by certified yoga instructor and avid swimmer / waterman, Jessica Ackerman, RYT, on boards suitably designed for yoga practice. This will provide you with a great core workout as you experience balancing on a whole new level. You will be guided through a dynamic yoga flow to strengthen and lengthen all of your major muscle groups while helping you to control your breath, cultivate balance, and deepen alignment with yourself and the natural energy of practicing on the water. Each class is designed to energize your body, increase strength and fitness, and promote relaxation through freedom of being on the water.

The class is conscientiously designed for all levels of fitness and intended to provide the safest SUP + YOGA experience. No yoga or SUP experience is necessary. Modifications will be offered along the way so the class is suitable for every level.

Includes: Equipment and instruction from fitness/water/yoga instructor Jessica Ackerman.

We launch right from Narrow River Kayaks in Narragansett, RI. (Parking on site, convenient)

Class times: Fridays 9:30-10:30am, Sundays 4-5pm

Pool Yoga to keep you FIT, DE-STRESSED, STRONG, ENERGIZED.

Aqua yoga is super low impact, making it an ideal way for people with joint pain or balance issues/ instability to improve their strength, flexibility, and range of motion. Water assists in balance, so you can access all the benefits of full stretches and strengthening.

The resistance of the water offers a challenging strength workout, while bringing recovery for performance athletes.

This is an accessible, unique experience for all.

Speak Steady Yoga for Parkinson’s and Stroke- Movement, Breath, Voice, Speech

Speak Steady Program for people with Parkinson's and other neurologic impairments. This targeted program is delivered by Licensed Speech-Language Pathologist, Jessica Ackerman MSCCC-SLP, who is also a Registered Yoga Teacher with a career of experience in Voice and Speech Therapy for neurologic impairments, including LSVT LOUD.  Jessica's breath-based yoga program aims to maximize vocal loudness, breath support for speech, and intelligibility of speech  that so often impact communication effectiveness of people with Parkinson's Disease.

This weekly program focuses on synchronizing basic gentle yoga poses with breath (matching a movement to an inhale and a movement to an exhale). Movements and poses can be achieved in a chair, wheelchair, recliner, standing, or yoga mat.

Teens & Kids DO Yoga.

Kids, Teens, Families. Tailored to individual needs or groups, teams, families. 

Students optimize physical and mental strength and flexibility while developing skills to manage stress, improve focus, and build self-confidence. 

Through yoga-based movement and breath management, students cultivate self-awareness and interconnectedness in an accepting, non-judgmental environment. Class will end with a quiet relaxation to promote stillness and positive sense of self, away from devices and social media pressures and distraction.

 Specific Benefits for Kids and Teens:

- Learn valuable skills for alleviating stress, self-judgment, and anxiety. 

-Enhance body awareness and skillful, purposeful movements -Increase strength, flexibility, balance, and range of motion for sports performance, injury prevention, and to combat sedentary/iPhone use!
