Back to school looks quite different in 2020. Virtual learning, hybrid models, loss of structure and specials classes…

Where does that leave Phys. Ed class and sports? What can we do for our kids and athletes?

How can we ground them with focused attention training, breathwork, training strength in physical, mental, emotional resilience, injury prevention, body awareness, stress management.... What kid doesn’t need all of this right now?....

I am holding Virtual PE/Gym Class Sessions with focus on fun and engaging Yoga- to target strength, balance, flexibility - disciplined physical training for all grade levels and ages.

Think about our kids doing distance learning - sitting and staring at a computer all day - it is so important to get them moving -physical activity stimulates their brains, resets their nervous systems, and helps focus and decompress.

A recent report from the American Heart Association indicated that cardiorespiratory fitness  is a predictor of health conditions in kids - and only 40% of 12- to 15-year-olds in the US are believed to have an adequate level of this cardiorespiratory fitness!

Students optimize physical and mental strength and flexibility while developing skills to manage stress, improve focus, and build self-confidence. 

Through yoga-based movement and breath management, students cultivate self-awareness and interconnectedness in an accepting, non-judgmental environment.

Class will end with a quiet relaxation to promote stillness and positive sense of self, away from devices and social media pressures and distraction.

PE/Gym class is critical, at this time more than ever. I offer a structured virtual experience to bring physical training, body awareness, and tools for mind-body-breath integration, that have far-reaching positive impact on kids of all ages, from Kindergarten through high school.

Please note- the minimum to start a new POD class is 10 students, so think about partnering up with a few virtual communities within your network of friends, other school districts, towns, or even out of state- there are no barriers with proximity, as these classes are all delivered virtually.
